Unpredictably and Unexpectedly Elegant Functional Lighting by Vertigo Bird
Vertigo Bird is a Slovenian firm contemporary lighting design, submitted to the international public just two years ago, the Light & Building Fair in Frankfurt. Its main base is located in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
This company works in collaboration with several Slovenian and international designers, combining the expertise of well-known artists with originality and creative energy of an emerging group of young designers. Among them, Perović Bevk Arhitekti, Sadar-Vuga Arhitekti and Nika Zupanc.
In 2008, Luc de Arne Vehovar lamp was nominated in the Biennial of Industrial Design (BIO). A year later, Slim lamp, designed by Bevk Perović Arhitekti, won the prestigious Red Dot Award for product design. Last year, Vertigo Bird and responsible Silvo Kacar received the Award Trend (Trend Award) for his achievements in the field of design.
The collection is, as stated in the company motto: “unpredictably and unexpectedly elegant functional”.
