Silver chair, a Vintage Modern Chair by C & B and Gaetano Pesce for Bebitalia

The chairs acknowledged Up 5 or Up 6 belong to the Up series, a collection was born in 1969 through collaboration between C & B and Gaetano Pesce.

This piece of furniture, a reflection of pop culture contains within it the brazen energy of the sixties and the interest in new technologies and reflection on the status of women.

With the Up series, Gaetano exposes his personal view on women, which believes a prisoner of his actions. This idea was the design of this chair. A female form with a ball and chain, simulating the traditional image of the prisoners. The chair has been updated and reproduced by B & B italia in 2000 with high quality materials.

Exhibited in international museums, most recently in the new exhibit at the Design Museum in Milan Triennale prepared by Antonio Citterio, the Up series has been able to effectively synthesize a time, keeping intact its strength.

The fortieth birthday of one of the most famous icons of design history, it becomes the perfect occasion to introduce the chair and Up6 UP5 held in numbered edition with a new silver trim.
