Rustic maximum: housing in Italy
Accustomed as we are to the websites of architecture (and Decoarq is not going to be less) appear constantly spectacular exercises in modernity, avant-garde and minimalist design, when a project like that is possible to admire these photos we have to take away the hat. Housing reformed by Luca Zanaroli and it rises in a farm located in Apulia (Italy) boasts a rustic so intense, that sometimes gives the feeling of belonging to times rather than past…
This fantastic project involves the rehabilitation and renovation of an abandoned rural construction for years, to be used as a refuge for holidays by their owners, a couple of professionals who live the remainder of the year in a city of the North of the country.
The main objectives of the project included to emphasize the historical character and representative construction, related to traditions and local lifestyles. This was accomplished without sacrificing to reflect a contemporary atmosphere in the home, through the revision and reinterpretation of various elements. Thus, the integral rehabilitation got a simple and bucolic, effect but at the same time warm and comfortable.
On the other hand, the architect put a special efforts to enhance the sense of continuity and simplicity that showed the original construction, as well as their harmonious integration into the environment. In his own words, the architect of the project decided that “the restoration project would have the primary purpose of preserving the original charm of the House”.
