French designer Matali Crasset is back with one of his personal creations: The Relaxe Quand Jim Armchair, an armchair that designed with upholstered in skin color with a funny name and no less original form, it has created for the French brand furniture Domeau & Pérès. The Relaxe Quand Jim armchair is the evolution of another product that Crasset created in 2000, Jim Monte Quand à Paris, a mattress kit for a traveler something imaginary bohemian marching to the city of light. Jim Monte Quand à Paris, also produced by Domeau & Pérès, defined then the design firm Crasset, a design “way of life, rather than function.” Now, referring to the same character designer Jim Quand us Relaxe, evoking relaxation. After ten years ensconced in Paris, Jim was question how to define the comfort in a more affluent and mature.
The chair Quand Jim Relaxe consisting of a set of pieces of foam covered in leather colors mounted on a structure of birch plywood in a unique form of assembly. Training industrial designer, Matali Crasset worked since 2001 in interior architecture projects. He began learning with Philippe Starck in Paris and today is one of the most renowned French designer who has received awards and participated in numerous exhibitions around the world.
