Hansgrohe, a Sensual Bathroom Concept by Patricia Urquiola for Axor

The architect and designer Patricia Urquiola has designed for Axor, the designer brand of Hansgrohe, a sensual bathroom concept, attentive to every detail. The pieces of the collection (sink, tub, toilets, faucets, accessories and modular radiator system) reflect a world of smooth transitions, soft shapes and light curves, combined with functionality, which is the most comprehensive range signature created so far.

If the faucet is known for its gleaming surfaces, rounded corners nice touch, the shapes of toilets and baths reminiscent of old tubs. A classical way by using a very innovative material (mineral resin with a layer of polyester gel coat) has been possible to create one piece. In addition, the two sides of the toilets have grooves that resemble the handles of the old baths, but which serve as practical towel.

The radiator Axor Urquiola is a modular system of independent panels, which enables fully individualized designs in the bathroom space and that also serve as room dividers. You can install any number of units in white and decorated with clouds or full-length mirrors. There are also wall radiator modules.Experts have rewarded the quality of this work with the Design Plus Award 2009 (radiator up and sink wall) and the Red Dot Award Design Award 2009 (group formed by special basin mixer and sink).

The creations known as Patricia Urquiola for the most recognized international home design and versatile reflect his enormous creativity. Four years ago, the designer works with Axor, the designer brand from Hansgrohe. Although their first collaboration dates back to 2004, with their participation in the project WaterDream, whose results were presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2005.
