binary stool

Binary stool was born in 2003, within the catalog of the now defunct firm Oken. Its design is the result of joint work between dr. Jordi Badia and industrial designer Otto Canalda, with which Delta got a Silver in the 2005 edition of the awards given by ADI-FAD (Association of Industrial Disseny Foment de les Arts i of Design).

The shapes of the seat, which are patented, guaranteed healthier position back on the legs: exactly 135 º. Its design has been developed from a detailed anthropometric and is characterized by its central opening, inviting you to separate the legs and naturally gets the stability of the hip joint. Therefore, this unique piece is particularly recommended for all those who carry out their work sitting but require moving as, for example, a dentist or a supermarket cashier.

Now, seven years after its inception, the company BD Barcelona Design incorporates it into his collection of three classic finishes-white, black and red, and a new leather version.

Otto Canalda (Barcelona, 1977), one of the designers, he joined the Department of New Product Development for BD just finishing his studies at the School Elisava Barcelona. This works with Ramón Úbeda for projects from other designers may come safely in the market. The young designer also has taken advantage of this valuable experience to ensure the success of their own projects, like the one that reaped Inout lamps, and Triana Nanit also planned along with Ramón Úbeda for Metalarte.

BD Barcelona Design (born in 1972 as BD Ediciones de Diseño) is one of the most prestigious Spanish companies in the world of international design. In its catalog are products of the most important contemporary artists. Produces the modernist furniture of Antoni Gaudi and Salvador Dali in a world exclusive.
